hmmm i see what you're saying. thats why you're saying nostr's final form will be an api that can be linked to any page on the web. you'll keep your digital identity, followers, etc.
you work with berners lee on solid too no? isnt portable identity the whole point of solid pods too? how do nostr and solid pods play together?
they were saying in a discord server i am in that activitypub devs are supposedly working on a social portability upgrade to the protocol. im interested in how they are going about it.
just read through ghost's announcement that they are federating with activitypub. their whole model is based on email. a big chunk of the 300 billion emails sent every day worldwide are advertisement/spam...what nostr has on activitypub is that you dont need an email address to engage. i wonder how we can leverage this better in marketing for nostr.
dang the more i think about this thread the more into this idea i get. the whole paridigm of social media as we know it would flip. they wont be able to say "nostr cant scale". there are already a couple wordpress nostr plugins but if we can get those going for all the major cms sheeeesh then people wouldnt have to install separate plugins for comments, reactions/likes, etc. it'd play well with htmx too i bet no?
im about to set up a ditto instance for an org i work with. gonna be dope!
