Slaves gonna be slaves then I guess ๐คทโโ
Everyone wants to make money. When all the value is flowing into Bitcoin making bitcoiners richer every year, & life is getting progressively harder every year for people who continue to cling to govt money, & the best products are only sold for Bitcoin because the smartest & most productive people won't touch a CBDC, you think most people still won't make a change?
If Venezuela has banned mining, but even the cops who seize miners are using them to mine Bitcoin, I think that's a decent illustration of how things are likely to go elsewhere. I think certain forces are just too strong for people to resist forever.
The market for loans will look dramatically different. Loaning/renting equipment will probably make more sense than loaning money. Everyone will have to earn before they consume & be efficient about their use of resources.
Money will actually do its job & incentivize efficient resource allocation.
Who thinks that life is going to be the same after bitcoin? Bitcoin is going to change everything whether people realize it or not.
None of the most powerful govts in the world can exist in anything like their current forms without stealing massive amounts of wealth via money printing. Bitcoin directly undermines theft via money printing.
Money is half of every trade, it touches everything. EVERYTHING is going to change.
So you mean the years where Lightning was being built, along with Ark & Fedimints & Hedgehog channels, & now that there is a standard for integrating silent payments you think "the market" has chosen something other than Bitcoin?
I had some friends who didn't know learn the hard way on the first day & kinda ruin their week. Once you know what to look for it's generally not an issue.
Probably won't be an issue, but it's worth keeping in mind that all flat "grassy" areas (yards, areas around sidewalks, etc) come with a very real risk of stepping on a small cactus with razor sharp thorns that will go all the way through just about any shoe or sandle. Loose sand is generally safe, grassy yards can be dangerous af. Some houses have brought in sod & work to keep the cactus out, but that's not really the norm.
Depends on how much time you want to spend seeing sights vs hanging on the beach. Coquina beach is one of my favorite spots & it changes, but there is often a nice sandbar there. Sometimes you can see the remnants of an old ship depending on how the sand has shifted.
If you get an overcast day Jockey's Ridge is really awesome. I drive up a few times a year just to walk around there. But it's not so great on hot days in the middle of the summer, would be worth an early morning trip even if you don't get an overcast day.
The Wright Brothers Memorial is interesting.
There are lighthouses, if they are open to go up inside the view is worth the climb.
Ocracoke is always worth a visit, but would be a bit of a drive plus a ferry ride, so could be tough to make work in a day from where you'll be ๐ค don't know how long the passenger ferry takes.
Captin Frank's Hotdogs has been there forever & has pictures from when they were the only thing on the beach & of former presidents that visited. They have fantastic steamed shrimp for dinner (after like 6pm I think) & usually some decent live music or something later.
There are also some really cool putt putt places & other random stuff.
You going with family or friends or just you?
https://www.evshift.com/289238/might-be-a-silly-question-but-what-is-this-called-on-a-car/ Might be a silly question, but what is this called on a car? #AnythingWith4Wheels #autos #CARS #EverythingWith4Wheels

Looks like glue residue from some sort of door edge guard/trim. I am personally not a fan of that crap. I'd see if I could find something that would remove the residue without harming the paint... wd40 maybe
If you have never been then there are lots of things you need to see... ๐ค
What area are you staying in?
I might be able to get out there & say hey.
Bitcoin sidechains make way more sense than adding exchange & price volatility risk to make a private transaction. It doesn't really make sense to use Monero at all.
Monetary network effects are very unforgiving & I think this will beasically be a "winner takes all" sort of competition.
Unquestionable supply auditablity is more important than perfect privacy.
Stealth addresses & sidechains networked via lightning & other minor improvements will continue to compound bitcoin's privacy potential a little bit at a time. Something like CISA that improves efficiency in terms of on chain footprint while also improving privacy would be ideal.
"Consensus" is just the lowest common denominator interpretation, it's almost always bullshit.
Be as objective & logical as you can be a trust yourself.
Jerking it with the left so you can work the mouse with your right is just being efficient.
Not the sort of person or attitude anyone should really look up to IMO.
Be secure, have self control, set healthy boundaries, & don't aspire to be a high dollar whore.
Yeah, sure "forced" into more than half a year of bombing & destroying the lives of lots of innocent people... ๐
Highly intelligent response, thank you.
You are just the mirror image of Hamas. They are evil because they kill people who have nothing to do with the govt that they claim to oppose, you are evil because you want death for innocent people who have nothing to do with Hamas.
There are Christians & other innocent people in Palestine. So when you support indiscriminate bombings because you have mentally demonized all of the people in one place you are supporting violence & immorality that is also killing many children. Your irrationality makes you the same sort of evil as the monsters you claim to hate.
If fiat remains within the US rather than being exported then domestic inflation gets worse.
You don't boost local production by raising taxes to cut off the supply of cheap tools & capital equipment. I just bought a Chinese excavator for half the price of anything I can get here. I buy most of my tools from Harbor Freight. Making my tools and certain supplies more expensive just increases my cost of doing any sort of business.
You want to boost domestic production you remove govt licensing restrictions & cut taxes. You don't increase taxes on the flow of inexpensive stuff.
She's not wrong...
