Been into Bitcoin since 2017 and honestly, it’s quietly been one of the best things that ever happened to me.
Back then for those who know me, I only #invested in watches, and jewellery. Bitcoin forced me to actually think about money for the first time. Real #scarcity of the cap really made me feel, yeah this is how money should be. I started treating every sat like it actually mattered. Stacking #SATS, didn’t stop spending, just invested what I would have anyway (then again, I’m not a big spender!!). That alone changed my entire relationship with #saving something that matters.
I went down the rabbit hole hard. Spent 100s of hours on #studying bitcoin, I built my first #Lightning node, lost a bunch of money experimenting but I learned a ton. Kept building more nodes, full #bitcoin #nodes, switched on some #btc #miners. I’m way more technically comfortable now than I ever thought I’d be. Linux, networking, hardware, power efficiency (I guess attending the ethical hacking cert training (CEH) helped comprehend a lot of this as well)… Bitcoin turned me into someone who can actually build and run real infrastructure. The best bit, all done on my own money, my own time. #Investing in #education is never a loss.
The Bitcoin price? Yeah it goes up and down like a rollercoaster, but what new #asset doesn’t? It’s only 16 years old! Here’s the thing most people still don’t get. The #volatility only hurts you if you’re treating Bitcoin like a #stock to flip. If you actually adopt it as your base layer money and just hold the asset, the day-to-day price noise becomes background static. The people who end up wealthy in this space are the ones who stop looking at the chart every five minutes and just #HODL. Assets are retained, not traded.
Seven years in, I’m calmer about money, technically sharper than I’ve ever been, and sitting on an asset that keeps proving itself while everything else gets debased. That’s the real “life-changing” part. Not the #Lambo memes (but the memes do make me laugh haha!!).

- There will only ever be 21,000,000 Bitcoin. That’s it. Less than the number of #millionaires on the planet right now.
- The last Bitcoin won’t be mined until around the year 2140. Your great-grandkids will still be watching blocks get solved.
