Last week my mate talked about getting the power tools on the allotment and I said no, I'm doing it the old way, with hand tools and hard work, I dont want to do it the easy way. He looked at me as if I was mad.

Yesterday my grandad had an OT around to bring a few bits to make navigating his home a bit safer since his accident. I asked him about those chairs that lift you from seated to upright.

'No no, don't want it, had one already'

'Why dis you get rid of it?'

'Makes life too easy'.

So, I can clearly see where I get that attitude from...makes me wonder sometimes, how much of me is uniquely me and how much of me is what was imprinted on me as a child?

I joke with my daughter about free will, I tell her she has none, I've programmed her since birth and she does what I want her to do. I'm also now wondering how much I was joking about that.

The world surrounding us is as kind as we are to it. What we receive from life is a direct response to what we give to it, as well as what our loved ones and ancestors have given.

Some consequences of our actions are immediately visible. We cut down a forest, and soon we walk through a wasteland. We replant the trees and gradually, nature's abundance returns to the land.

The digital world is not much different. This year, while in Riga, I spoke with various people who are already working in the #Bitcoin or #Nostr space and their path was similar. First, give. Create value for others, do something for free, simply show proof of work, and the reward will come on its own.

Today, is the best day for doing good. Let's celebrate at the end of it, how much people we helped to and the value we created.
