Can anyone tell me if you can under clock a miner from 0% to 100% with infinite adjustment in the range? And how long is the response time!
Because arguably you could maybe use miners to balance phase loads as well.
Or…. You can have a 3 phase supply or generator to the rack at any voltage the higher the better as it’s more efficient and then run it to a step down transformer (toroidal transformers are extremely efficient) to a much lower voltage with little losses then rectify it to DC bus bars for the miners.
You can also change the DC voltage that I assume would change the clock speed. And reduce heat.

I’m certain efficiency can be gained with exploration of DC Bus systems for the miners. As each miner is using PSU units all with its own efficiency losses.
In the electrical motor world you can tie together the DC Bus of multiple Variable Speed Drives so when one drive is slowing down a motor it can supply the direct DC power to another drive that requires it. Otherwise it would be dissipated as heat.
In the generator world it might be more efficient for a generator to be wound with many poles say 6 that provided a 6 phase output that is rectified to the desired DC output for the miners. No PSU’s required?
