We need to get to the place where a new non tech user can set up a non custodial no kyc lightning wallet by scanning a QR code.
Make it as easy as connecting Amethyst to Alby.
As others have said, the majority will not care how it works, will not take time to learn, it needs to just work. No command lines. No complicated setup. No 12 step setup.
We must win.
Alby for now. Tried to connect via zeus but need a phD. Might move to Mutiny if/when I get enough sats to open the channel (100k).

I don't think alby relies on Google play at all, do they? I guess they could block the extension, but that stuff can be sideloaded, and their website would still be available...
