Peter Schiff's analogy of getting paid in fiat with getting paid in dead fish is perfect. Yes, yes, he's wrong (so far) about #bitcoin. But when it comes to defending sound money in principle, he's pretty darn good.

My paternal grandfather was an Army-trained mechanic who opened the first Esso service station in his home region. He did very well. When the treasury began debasing Silver dollars, he was paying attention. In that cash-based society, as a retailer, he had access to a decent volume of cash and coin. Every pure silver dollar that came in, he squirreled away and replaced it in circulation with the new debased quarters.
