Good morning nostr, its a new day and i have alot to do. But i love working in weather like this, chilly but not too cold. And the main thing is the sun. I remember when i was a kid and we were reading about indians in the past, and how they "worshipped" the sun. Lots of the kids would laugh and make fun of this idea. Now as an adult i think the indians knew something we didnt. Because without the sun there is no life. I was emotional yesterday about Charlie Kirk, a friend asked me if I was ok today...

I took my three year old to the park and afterwards we layed on the floor and watched her shows.

She had a grape juice box and kept offering me sips. Which I gladly accepted despite them being 75% backwash lol 😂

My wife pointed out to me that in that moment my daughter has nothing, no possessions, no money except for that juice box and she was willing to share it with me because she loves me and feels grateful that I love and protect her.

There are people in this world who might want to erase me from her life for the things I say.

There are others who would cheer it on, or say I brought it on myself.

And she would be left alone in a world without a father to protect her.

Nah. I’m not ok.

Nostr is still very broken and lots of the various parts didn't live up to its potential... yet. But that doesn't mean that it has failed. It means that there's still work to be done, nothing more.

Can it be frustrating at times? Sure. Could things be better? Undoubtedly. Is it a shame that many promising projects are only half finished and/or abandoned? Of course.

Nostr’s promise, in part, is that it truly is for the people, by the people. And people are messy. And what nostr is trying to model is messy too. But it's beautiful, and alive, and promising, and WAY better than it used to be. Warts and all.

I love this place more and more each day, and I have no intention of leaving. And with the stuff that's on the horizon this little corner of the (new and improved) internet is bound to get better still.

It's amazing that it exists and that stuff mostly works, imperfect as it may be. Makes me grateful. Thank you all 🙏🧡

Good morning nostr, today i'll need to water some trees, because once again the weather forecast was wrong. I'm starting to think that no human really makes the forecast, maybe an ai that hasnt been trained yet. And no human even bothers to to oversee the process, because the "human" meteorologists are also created by ai.

On the chicken front, we'll be starting to incubate a few more eggs. We recently bought a few chicks at tractor supply because we only had 2 of our eggs hatch from the last incubation. The bought chicks are not as hardy, and 2 of those died within a couple days. So i think we'll hatch some more.
