I agree with this take, and unlike a lot of people I’ve seen, I’m not going to jump to a conclusion yet about who did this or why. There are plenty of suspects and reasons to consider them before locking in on an a definitive answer in the absence of evidence.

This is the prompt I wrote that built most of the structure of #PlebsVsZombies.
The rest has been refinement and feature calibration. It’s still a work in progress. I mainly built as a challenge to myself, and because over 20% of my 3500 follows had become Nostr zombies and I was tired of carrying all that dead weight around.

Write a spec for a mini app called "Plebs vs. Zombies" that solves the following problem: Over time, the users I follow on Nostr become dormant zombies. Since npubs can never be deleted, it creates a burden for users to carry around all the dead weight of a growing following count that hungrily eats bandwidth (brains in our metaphor!), overwhelming relays whenever we connect to them presenting our bloated follow list filled with so many undead users that refuse to rest in peace. I need a way to safely back up my existing follow list and profile so it doesn't get erased accidentally, and identify all of the profiles that haven't posted anything in a specific amount of time. Interval presets such as 90, 120, 180, 1 year, etc. should be available. I should also only be able to purge my dormant follows in batches, because as every zombie killer understands, you can't take on an entire army of zombies all at once. You need to sneak up on them in small groups to defeat them. So with this in mind, let's set a reasonable number for an event that we can sign to unfollow users en masse that doesn't also destroy the follows we want to keep around.
