We are coming to the final 2 months of our 2025 pilot season of the Stalk Market, at Yellow Barn Farm.
We supported 8 local Soil Stewards with a collective total of about $120k over this season:
1. Regeneratively raised beef & pork from DAR
2. Eggs and chicken from the Flock Fathers
3. Veggies from Sunburn Farm
4. Homesteading education from You Enjoy Life
5. Farm-fresh community meals from Schlop Stop
6. Food scrap pickup & food delivery from Picky Pig
7. Market & freezer space from Yellow Barn
8. Logistics & software from the Stalk Market
It takes a village to make food a reality!
We have about $17k left to hit before the end of the season and plenty of meat to spare! We are hosting 'Cuts for a Cause' - a butcher box fundraiser to reach out goal to support all of our Stewards through the winter months. Want to contribute? You can reserve your 25lb box of mixed beef & pork cuts online - if you're local, come pickup at the farm. If you're not, contact us, we will work with you to get your box shipped to your doorstep! BTC & USD accepted.

Been a while - here to give a little life update out at Yellow Barn Farm.
We are halfway through our first pilot season for the Stalk Market as a community-driven "investment fund". We have pooled resources from 35 pilot members, and funds are used to purchase meatshares (regenerative beef and pork raised at Yellow Barn), produce from Sunburn Farm, and utilized for community meals, homesteading educational workshops, and food scrap collection + home food delivery.
It's been a wild ride, and throughout all of this we have been slowly seeding this community with the idea of Bitcoin as an alternate currency. Yellow Barn has been hosting the monthly Boulder Bitcoin meetup, and Schlop Stop food truck (run by the same guys at Sunburn Farm who supply all our produce) are now set up with nostr:nprofile1qqsvn0dkjt80raqrxd470c98n7zrdehmcvj6p5hgw3kyku6zyd8z0fqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejszrthwden5te0dehhxtnvdakqp3v7f4 to receive their first sats for meals at our Aug meetup.
We've had educational meetups for the past 2 months covering an intro to BTC + a workshop on hosting your own node. This Aug will be on self-custody.
Yellow Barn also hired a fractional Property Manager, who is a neighbor rancher, and all pay is in sats.
The goal for the rest of this season is to meet our final fundraising target of $22k to get us through the rest of the year (specifically to pay for the beef and pork shares). Then, for 2026 memberships, each member who signs up for a Stalk Market Soil Share will be gifted X amount of BTC. So we have 5 months left to get all our market vendors, the sauna business now on the farm, and our own service businesses (Small Haul moving, Picky Pig compost, Kaizen landscaping, and Stalk Market food delivery) set up with wallets so they can accept BTC for events, food, and services once members receive their BTC gift.
