I watch Pluto TV on my streaming stick. It's for free and has old movies and series.

They are much more relaxing and inspiring than current productions.

I asked my friend why old movies are so calming and entertaining.

She said that part of the answer is that before cameras didn't move so much and let you focus. They were heavier and difficult to move, which was an advantage for the viewer.

So, there you have: a technical "evolution" which is actually no evolution

With so much spam on nostr it feels like noiser :)

Truths like 1+2=3 is pretty easy to agree on, but when we consider all particles on universe, all types of systems and people connect, it gets increasingly intractable for our mind to get the whole truth.

It's like trying to project a 3D globe into 2D: I'd you choose preserving correct distances, you distort angles. If you preserve angles you distort distances.

Another example: a cylinder is 3D, but seen by a 2D mind will be perceived as a rectangle or as a circle depending on the angle it observes.

This is how you send an XMPP chatroom link (in this case the room of prosody users):

xmpp:prosody@conference.prosody.im?join

I think you will enjoy reading Bhagavad-Gita, or watching the movie "Ramayana", which is similar to what you describe.

Or read the "book of spirits" from Allan Kardec.

Id you go further on Allan Kardec, you find find People who let other souls use their hands and write novels. The novels are very naive but give an undescribable peace of soul when Reading it.

In Brazil around 10 million people enjoy this type of philosophy.

For instance, the book "Uma luz entre as tulipas" was written by spirit of Pierre, but using the hands of Solange. It's in portuguese, but you might find something translated. The cover is below:

I'm so happy to find you here!

Was tired of cryptobros, libertarians and politics here.

I searched for "Manga" and found you somehow!

Thanks for being here!

The easiest to use clients are Cheogram on Android and Gajim or Dino on Linux.

Regarding the servers, you can join any one. I like jabber.fr

If you want to run your own server, I heard the easiest is with Snikket. I know people who even set this up for their family.

The link is:

https://snikket.org/start/

You could pay for the people there to just make it work for your, or self host here:

https://snikket.org/service/quickstart/

For what I understood, Snikket is a pre-configured version of one of the famous servers (dont remember which now)

If you need the direct link to its docker file, its here:

curl -o docker-compose.yml https://snikket.org/service/resources/docker-compose.yml

On Signal you relay on the Signal company, which can change their policy at any time.

Simplex also you rely on one app only.

XMPP is distributed, meaning any Mr. Random can open a server and a client, and thus you are not locked in

Why is it that when I use gleasonator.dev I can read the posts people wrote for me, but when using its dev version I dont find anything?

Does it mean that when I used gleasonator.dev I was luckly enough that firehose hand already pull everything?

On the future, will you implement the lookup via web client?
