✨ Announcing the release of Cashu.me – a Cashu wallet for the web! ✨
Cashu.me is a Chaumian Ecash wallet for Bitcoin built as a progressive web app (PWA). Today, we're excited to announce its first release and would like to thank all developers and users who have helped to build and improve this wallet. Cashu.me is free and open-source software released under the MIT license.
To get started, open Cashu.me in your browser and install it to add it to your home screen. We recommend to use your device's native browser for the best experience. Beware that Ecash is a bearer asset which means that if you delete your browser data or lose access to your device without a proper backup (see below), you will lose your funds. Use this wallet only for small spending amounts.

I am still deeply committed to ONOSENDAI and completing my OpenSats grant, which Simon has been fully supportive of, so my schedule will allow for this.
I'm not sure about the future of Yondar since my company ran out of funding to develop it, but it's open source so I have faith that it will live on somehow.
I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work in the nostr space. I am grateful for my 16 years at the marketing agency where I started my career, but this next step is much needed and a perfect fit.
So, thank you wonderful nostr people for supporting me and showing your care. It has meant the world to me. I am SO ready to put 100% of my time and focus on nostr and bitcoin development. AQUA 0.1.51 is live and being rolled out across all devices! It includes several new features we know you’re gonna love, including send compatibility with LNURL Pay and Lightning Addresses. ⚡️🌊🐬

- iOS users can now see the Swap button on the home screen.
- Reduced Liquid Network fees for inbound Lightning transactions.
- Improved flow for sending assets.
- Added sending to LNURL Pay and Lightning addresses. LNURL Withdraw will be supported in future versions.
- Added support for BIP21 unified QR codes (on-chain and Lightning payments in a single QR code).
- Added automatic refund and claim transactions with submarine swaps using native Rust library.
- Enabled Biometrics for authentication.
- Improved restore wallet workflow.
- Added support for AQUA to AQUA Lightning payments.
- USDt is still a default asset but removable in Settings under “Manage Assets” in the Advanced Settings.
Bug Fixes:
- Numerous UI bug fixes.
- Fixed bug with reading certain Bitcoin Chips.
If you’re not able to update your AQUA wallet to version 0.1.51 (91) just yet, kindly wait a couple more days for the upgrade to become available on your device. Android users eager to enjoy the latest #Bitcoin, Liquid network, and Lightning experience available can download the app directly from our GitHub.
