Instructions for Coin Holders
AND
Non-Coin Holders with Social Media Engagement
Objective: Promote camaraderie and engagement at Bitcoin and NOSTR gatherings, while integrating social media to expand community involvement and visibility.
Game Setup:
β’ Understand the Importance: Non-coin holders should grasp the significance of owning a NOSTR Challenge Coin and the friendly competition it brings to gatherings.
β’ Learn the Rules: Familiarize yourself with the coin check rules, including how to respond and the stakes involved, whether you own a coin or not.
Playing the Game:
1. Witness a Coin Check:
β’ A participant can initiate a coin check by placing their NOSTR Challenge Coin on the table and announcing "coin check."
β’ All persons present in the immediate group, including non-coin holders, are affected by the coin check.
2. Respond to a Coin Check:
β’ If You Have Your Coin: Present it in response to the coin check.
β’ If You Donβt Have a Coin (Non-Coin Holders): You are to observe the outcome. While non-coin holders do not participate directly, they can witness the camaraderie and understand the value of having a coin.
3. Special Rule for Non-Coin Holders:
β’ Opportunity to Purchase: After witnessing a coin check, non-coin holders are to take a detailed photo of the challenge coin presented. This photo must include the obverse (front), reverse (back), and the true edge with sequential numbering of the coin.
β’ Social Media Engagement: Post the photo on NOSTR and tag P2P Merch21. This not only qualifies you for first-time buyer benefits but also helps you engage with the wider community. Sharing your interest and the unique aspects of the coin publicly can foster connections and encourage discussions within the network.
4. Consequences for Coin Holders:
β’ If Any Coin Holder Fails to Present a Coin: Those without a coin pay the predetermined amount of sats/zaps to each person who has their coin.
β’ If Everyone Presents a Coin: The challenger, who initiated the coin check, must pay the agreed amount of sats/zaps to each participant who successfully responded.
Game End:
The game is ongoing and designed to be an engaging activity at various community gatherings, encouraging non-coin holders to become coin owners.
