oh damn now i want to make custom coasters
i do that somewhat frequently with latest frontier models - I try to solve a complex task with them side by side starting off the same prompt to see how they perform and its interesting to see the difference
i've just done something similar to this today with deepseek, i've given it all the data i've given to o1 a while back for a specific task and the results very VERY impressive
i repeated the same with o3-mini and it was very underwhelming

I need help Nostr!
I’m trying to manage two different sets of nostr keys in my laptop, but nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm ’s functionality for adding new accounts has horrible UX.
I’ve also tried Nos2x, but it only works well for one set of keys.
Then nostr:npub1uf9gd9pax7534dy96mu603nqjlp9mht8az73ka0dy54rcfnvlxasumv8xc seemed to be the perfect solution, but their Bunker sign in method got stuck at “waiting for authorization” on nostr:npub1s2pra376a70cxlz4lh4s03k289pkkjez7r2mnhz2tl705tw8yk7sjp3ggk despite already having authorized.
How do you all manage more than one set of keys in a private manner?
multiple browsers :)

Everyone knows your location: tracking myself down through in-app ads
Its a good day to get paid in bitcoin.
thats because americans cant decide if they prefer less state or their state to dominate everyone else.
Facebook is blocking and banning discussion of Linux
DistroWatch and other Linux influencers are getting the gag:
"Attempts to engage in topics surrounding the open-source operating system are being branded as violating Facebook’s Community Standards, with the posts being labeled as cybersecurity threats."
At least they still allow Linux users to use the website itself, and that matters far more than being able to talk about Linux. Good time to pitch to Nostr to these guys.

this is so spot on. The space is big enough to cater to different crowds, not trying to immitate each other.
You dont need 10 household names on every event, specially when you then give them 20min slots.
Or panels with 5 speakers and 30min timeslot.
Its not a pokemon collecting competition.
Have large slots, give people time to discuss things and engage in meaningful conversations. Not just material for youtube shorts.

a lot of time its more about egos than specs
you are right, 14b works decently, I should switch to vllm from ollama and that should speed it up even more
have many thoughts on this and have been diacussing it endlessly foe thw past year how to unlock decentralized commerce and compute.
i also believe that grants might be the wrong approach for it, you want something along the lines of small business loans, at least partially. grants lead to proof of concepts and lack market feedback while something similar to small business loans or basically seed capital without venture path might make a lot of difference.
bitcoin/nostr has tons of potential for small cash flow producing projects that do actual commerce but get too often either snowballed into something that is venture capital scale and then fail when they figure out that the market for it doesnt justify the size (or is 15years away)
grants on the other hand attract a lot of development of things that are engineeringly interesting but commercially completely unviable.
my point being is we want to incentivize people to build businesses not proof of concepts nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m
