Please welcome the Thomas Couple!

Ed and Toby Thomas joined the JM team in January, but have visited many times before as they sought the Lord for guidance in their transition to the mission field.

Callum joined the JM team as a full time member from January 2024. However, we were blessed to have him here as a volunteer in 2022 and 2023. Through working together it was clear that God had plans for him in Japan and he took the LEEP!

SHAKEN

Millions were shaken on New Year’s Day, during the most important holiday in Japan, where families share the most intimate time together.

Pray with us for those who lost loved ones and come out of the holiday cold and with great loss.

We have heard from churches who have already taken in those around them in need, and look to their neighbors to help.

We pray for strength for the Christians who rise up at this time and sacrificially served their neighbors. May the people around them truly encounter the presence and love of the lord.

It has been a year and a half long effort of prayer, planning and hard work; and has breathed 30 years into the property. This chapter finished allows us to fully focus on the ministry before us in 2024.

BIBLE STUDY

One of JM’s earliest English outreach team members from over 30 years ago, Esther Maxton, recently published a Bible study.

CAYA KINDER OUTREACH:

We are preparing for Christmas at CAYA Kinder!

We pray this will be a place where kids and their parents can encounter the love of God, and find Jesus as they develop a deeper relationship with the Japan Mission team.

Each week we pray with the children for their snack, and share a Bible story. May the message of God’s love be planted deep in their hearts.

JAPANESE CHRISTMAS

Christmas is widely celebrated in Japan but it is true that most Japanese have no idea that the birth of Jesus is what Christmas is all about.

This gives us missionaries a perfect opportunity to share the ultimate gift we have found in Christ. It's so natural to share because the connection can be found anywhere you go.

During this season JM is working overtime to help the church share the great love God has for us.
