A passphrase is still a multi-signature, but much easier to manage, and you should treat its backup in the same way as a multi-signature.

Understated issue with multisig is that you can see when a transaction involves a multisig wallet.
If quantum computers can access private keys that are vulnerable then that is the reward for building the computers. Free market.
