lol, Ursula von der Leyen is proposing something called "European Democracy Shield" where the governments will decide what is disinformation or not and remove it if they don't like it š

Deleted Nudes Permanently Leak on Apple?!
New iOS update is resurfacing deleted files that users thought were gone.
In some cases, NUDE photos, EVEN AFTER the user WIPED it and SOLD the device.
According to the Verge, quote:
āApple appears to have a bug thatās dredging up data that iPhone owners thought was gone. Some iPhone owners are reporting that, after updating their phones to iOS 17.5, their deleted photos ā some quite old ā are popping up again, according to a Reddit thread that MacRumors spotted. iOS beta testers had the same complaints about the bug last week.ā
This is quite possible since itās syncing with the Apple cloud, and may not be rewritten with 1s and 0s correctly. Data when itās deleted is just removing the pointer to that data, and itās not fully deleted in such a way that it canāt be recovered until overwritten. This new version of iOS apparently is bringing to light a serious issue with Appleās data policies, especially since most users do sync with the cloud.
Some sources are now reporting nude photos coming back even after wiping the device. Quote The Verge, āa person claimed in a later post that āaround 300ā of their old pictures, some of which were ārevealing,ā appeared on an iPad theyād wiped per Appleās guidelines and sold to a friend.ā
So if you havenāt already, consider switching to Linux and DeGoogled phone. This way you donāt have to worry about the permanent data leak issue, that comes from sync with a cloud you donāt control the data wiping policies of.

there are people who exist who become expert engineers just to jerk off more efficiently.
I disagree with alot dhh says, but he's spot on here.
another thing to think about is should companies that donate money towards supporting a developer who works on a project get a seat at the table? I can see both sides of it.
just looked at the rim of my coffee mug and found a bunch of cat hair on it. how long have i been drinking cat hair?
you got that money transmitter license yet?
yeah there really isn't much coming out that is worth spending $70 on. also can i just say that new games being $70 is bullshit, especially when half the game is behind dlcs and loot box purchases as well.
probably a good move. the playstation exclusives are just so much better.
i think "modern capital misallocation" would be a pretty cool band name. https://www.fountain.fm/episode/9w3Cb1PZB82bufz8XBHE #podcast #bitcoin
i believe he announced he was burning that old one and starting anew under a new nym since, and this came from him, his opsec was shit.
it's disappointing enough that xbox has really gone down hill in the last five to ten years in terms of number of games released and the quality of these games. and then i hear their new big focus is on mobile gaming...jesus fuck i should have gotten a ps5.
yeah it definitely takes some time to get used to the strictness of the compiler. i came from doing Go full-time. so i understand the frustration. Go also has the benefit of a well-developed, mostly comprehensive standard lib. rust takes a more lego-like approach which adds to the learning curve, for sure.
These next few years are as existential for bitcoin as the Blocksize Wars.
Back then it was about who got to decide what bitcoin was, now itās about what bitcoin is.

might be helpful to add a link to the RSS feed on here for those of us still doing that.
I just started preloading a little over a week ago. doing the slow route though instead of the one week preload.
