Another important thing to note is that there’s a whole bunch of climate models out there. Some track reality pretty well, and others are wildly inconsistent and massively over predict warming. Unfortunately the most inaccurate/alarmist models tend to be the ones highlighted by politicians, the media, and activists for power and profit. Incentives matter, and unfortunately there’s a big incentive to be maximally biased in the other direction.
This all just makes it that much harder to do good science.
