May the #zap be with you!
#zapathon
It does that to me when I try to zap the first time. Some reason you have to do it a second time.
Right on! Grow that $$$
The crowns and roots you sent me are doing great! Do you usually split in spring/fall?
Solar Update April ‘23
We Over Produced 489 kWh this past month which marks the first month this year of net positive generation over consumption. Though my electric bill should technically be $0 they had to add an electrical service fee of $15. After discussing with my utility provider, I’ve found they will apply an account credit after 3 consecutive months of over generation (we generate more power than we consume from them). Once that happens, the bill will remain $0 until we hit Nov-Dec timeframe if my calculations are correct.

Following the water in the food forest. Fruit trees budding and leafing out. Great rains this week makes for happy plants.

Busy evening yesterday. We got 4 flats planted out and another 6 flats hardening off. Then started 3 more flats of seedlings. A little late starting those new seedlings but better late than never. These all range from fruit tree guild plants to annual crop.

I didn’t have access to a tractor either. I borrowed my uncles tiller, did a couple passes and it made it super easy to move the soil. This swale has been modified since taking this pic. I’m hoping to get some free time soon to do another documentary video.
Yeah nice hard red clay in Oklahoma. Set the contour lines then till to loosen soil. It made shoveling by hand a lot easier.
Roto-tilled along the contour line then it made shoveling by hand a breeze.
Full swales = very excite!!!!🤩😁

Need to get the drone out and get some aerial shots.
Annual Garden beds are planted out and ready for some rain and sunshine. So pumped to turn this recently excavated hard pan clay into super fertility loamy soil. Layered cardboard, then compost on 3 beds. On one bed I did a deep mulch of leaves to test both methods.

Chickens eat mice don’t they? I have no idea. Maybe they coming in at night while roosting.
Sifting cedar mulch to get the finer pieces. These are used for mulching seedlings. #garden #grownostr
