Somebody's gotta be that guy, might as well be you. Know it's me. Boss took us to happy hour earlier in the week. Bartender had recently been to El Salvador but was not a Bitcoiner and did not use at all when there. After assuring him I didn't need anything from him and he didn't need anyone's permission he downloaded Wallet of Satoshi and I sent him his first sats and simply exclaimed "freedom money" when the transaction cleared on our screens.

We pushed a release yesterday that should start to solve a lot of payment reliability problems. We've been working on this problem for months, trying to figure out what the problems were and what fixes it.

We built our own internal platform for measuring payment success rates through a bunch of trail and error, with many configuration tweaks along the way. We store the results of that so that we may revisit what increased reliability.
If you have an interest in payments on LN or are building on LDK, we'd highly recommend you take a read and learn from many of the problems we've faced and how we've solved them. If we can be of any help to others, please reach out if you're seeing similar issues.
Please let us know if things improve. It's not going to eliminate payment failures by any means, but it should be greatly improved from where we've been at. We'll monitor things as we go and continue to make improvements now that we can quantify reliability.

Ya, have to keep in shape and climbing constantly to maintain and progress past the upper 6 to lower 7's 5.11/12+. Have top roped sections of a 5.13b but couldn't stitch it all together 🤷🙃
Still way harder than most will ever pull down. Topped out at 7b (5.12a) when I used to climb back in my glory days 😜
What is money? Depends where you're standing. What's the value of a nail, screw or bolt? When you need one possibly impossible to quantify. It could be the difference between life and death.
I feel in a potential dystopian world that many stack gold for this box of "junk" will be far more valuable. After nearly 20 years in construction it's amazing how many random leftover fasteners I've collected. Constantly consolidating into random boxes and containers and sometimes sorted and organized better than this.
Might appear to be a useless box of metal but I see utility and condensed energy. In that dystopian future this metal will be far more valuable because of it's utility than a shiny rock that would make a terrible nail or spike.
