I'm also finding my way. Nostr.directory is a good way to find people you follow on Twitter and follow them here. As for the number of ads & spam, I think this depends somewhat on the relays you use.

Hope so. I don't know a huge amount about it yet, but my understanding is that Bluesky is focused more on algorithmic choice, which seems an obvious way forward.

But I'm curious: does anyone know much about the AT Protocol that Bluesky are developing? How similar is that? Appears to be slightly more emphasis on choice of algorithms to filter/promote content you want to see - is that right?
