The one and only. BTC. XMR. Freedom maxi. Say no to CBDCs and digital ID. #FreeRoss #McAfeeDidntKillHimself

Post election is always good for markets because it means less uncertainty.

However if the winner of the election literally has pro-bitcoin policies it's obviously bullish for Bitcoin past that general trend.

I don't think BTC hit $100k solely because of Trump but he's definitely helped it hit that milestone during 2024.

Fuck yeah! Shouldn't even be difficult to implement in theory as long as it uses the standard widely supported codecs for HTML5 streams.

It's a custodial wallet with an online account so it's something on their end. Seems like it's still difficult to get a widely accepted LN address for a non-custodial wallet unfortunately.

That's the one yeah. But for some reason my wallet balance isn't updated and the transaction isn't in the history. Tried refreshing and restarting.

Did you zap them to my CoinOS LN address? I don't see them in my wallet for some reason. Not sure if it's a bug. Just switched over from Alby today.

Very true. It was used as money, precisely as designed. Just a shame we never thought to save even a percentage of it though. But regrets will kill ya!

This is your economy on socialism...

Reminds me of France instituting a 70% tax rate they had to backpedal on when it drove the people responsible for most of the tax revenue.

Except somehow this is even worse. Taxing unrealised gains is literally taxing hypothetical money.

Such a policy only benefits the elite. Billionaires can shield their assets. But regular people trying to move up the socioeconomic ladder are prevented from doing so. Forced to sell their investments the second they're in profit.

But remember guys socialist policy helps the people and only punishes the rich. That's why most billionaires back left-wing political parties... πŸ™„

My mates checked their Bittylicious trade history recently... it included purchases of 1 BTC for under a hundred quid... none saved 😭

DAIs are sketchy af. The entire business model is literally set up a shady company in the Cayman Islands, hoard most of the token supply for yourself, then pump and dump.

To get around securities regulations sometimes they call them "governance tokens" that let you vote in things, but the "foundation" still controls like 70% of the voting power.

Then they call it "decentralised" while owning most of the tokens, and just dump whenever they want.

Scams all the way down.

If this is the guy I'm thinking of he wasn't a "trader" he coded the first GPU miner back in the early days and just considered it a fun hobby project so spent it on pizza and other small purchases.

Very common type of story. I bought Bitcoin way back in 2013 but didn't think to save any. Spent all of it.

Xmas 2024 gonna be like πŸ˜‚

You're right, it's a recent development. I'd say it started just over ten years ago. So much polarisation now.

I just find it strange that it seems to be only one side pushing an agenda so hard they alienate people. Everyone political has agendas. But only one side is so devout in their beliefs that they excommunicate people who don't buy into every piece of dogma.

I hear a lot about how politics is going more right, and all I can think is "people are actually surprised by this?"
