If someone had said anything like that it wasn't me. But I like your audacity. No, racism and segregation happens every day in America based on how rich or poor neighborhoods are, how much tax money goes to each school, how much teachers are paid and supplied. Racism in America in schools has plausible deniability and feels more like NIMBY than it does feel like segregation. It's a perfect racist crime that hides behind a shield of wealth and million dollar homes or day schools.

I am out of school and don't have kids so anyone can do whatever they want but noone should ever be surprised that an angry parent+social media+video evidence=probably nothing will happen but maybe something terrible will happen to teachers who willfully defy the will of parents. I'm sure nothing will happen in deeply blue, urban, urban, areas, but the people who have so-called unenlightened, so-called backward regressive beliefs, they can get mean and dangerous. Yikes! I think teachers should teach reading, writing, arithmetic, history, grammar, art, literature, and all the cultural programming should be other people's business. I was going to add civics and science but those two things are currently on probation because I thought we didn't allow religion in state schools. And it seems that civics and science have been coopted by religious extremism masquerading as STEM ;)
