I suppose there could be some stocks that were “unacceptably discounted” that aren’t identified as such until later. Banks and centralized exchanges would for sure reverse transactions on behalf of the NYSE so one would need to get the funds completely out, as in into physical cash or self-custodied Bitcoin in time. Would be tough but the NYSE could be late in identifying some.

They didn’t stop at the Berkshire Hathaway shares either. Anything “heavily discounted” got revoked. I wonder if anyone who saw it coming managed to sell, withdraw funds and move to cash or Bitcoin in time. If so they’ll probably get legal threats.

I guess share amount is what they’d have to adjust. I.e. you bought 100 shares at an incorrectly cheap price, so we’re taking back 90 shares leaving you with 10. 🤷‍♂️

I feel for these artists but ultimately they’re not going to escape AI picking up their art with any method short of not displaying it at all. Unless they can manage to keep getting fulfillment via their current type of art despite AI copying it, I believe the best thing they can do is pivot their efforts to a “higher layer,” more complex form of art like game development.
