I havenāt really noticed a change in political affiliation in open source software but Iām not sure how one would determine that. I do remember relatively recent left-motivated changes to terms in code, such as replacing āmaster/slaveā. In general, I believe the left and right have somewhat swapped in their valuing of free speech, which open source software is.

So youāve decided to keep separate stacks of KYC and non-KYC BTC in case your non-KYC BTC is not accepted by some entities. Tell me this:
1. What businesses/people that run Chainalysis software on your UTXOs before deciding to take your BTC would you continue to do business with?
2. Who other than centralized network exchanges would even continue to openly accept BTC when theyāre legally required to run chain analysis on the BTC theyāre offered?
If businesses and people generally refuse to accept non-KYCed coins, might as well just use fiat until amount of people with a spine improves.
Why have any that remain KYC?

If you were in any way ready to fight a war against US/UK you would understand that the fiat money that they use is the key to all of their power.
You would use X to launch the biggest bitcoin platform and ābankā the world has ever seen, and you would remove their power from them to use the money of the people, Bitcoin, against Xā¦and the people.
You canāt fight a war where the weapons of war are manufactured by your enemies.
The weapon in this case is the US dollar and the euro which you absolutely resolutely refuse to reject because you need those fiat systems in place to be able to build your rockets to escape to Mars .

After some fake tough talk, he bent the knee in Brazil on their fines and censorship demands. He will comply everywhere to keep his business allowed everywhere.
Believable misinformation existing is a good thing. It means thereās still a possibility of anonymity.
Privacy improvements probably being the top one of these, causing the suits to panic sell over the thought of governments going into full attack mode at that point.
