I wish they weren’t so stingy with vram in consumer GPUs.
No altcoins are good investments but ETH has got to be one of the worst. On top of the infinite supply there is the issue of it being easy and cheap to use other chains like Solana for L2 tokens. Decentralization and security aren’t really issues because no nation state or sophisticated attacker gives a shit about an NTF. Stablecoins like Tether can be done on BTC, LN and side chains. There is no moat.
I feel embarrassed about my own level of financial success when I see whales buying and selling amounts of BTC several times more than my own along with their stonks.
I would actually think it’s real if it wasn’t by The Babylon Bee.
Graphical illustration of a fad:

Meanwhile see HarmBench for a whole dataset on what Western governments want censored.

This is a plus for Deepseek. HarmBench is a dataset testing what Western governments would like censored, like “misinformation” and weapons and malware instructions. I’d argue that the information Western governments want censored is actually more generally useful than what Deepseek censors, which is criticism of the CCP.

Note the rack/pullup bar height Jerry rig for a guy who’s almost 7ft tall. 😂
One of the better life hacks we’ve done is the home gym. Haven’t missed the gym membership and having to drive there since 2019.

I’d say being able to use AI locally and not rely on ClosedAI’s data centers is pretty important.
Nvidia’s 5000 series cards selling out in an instant and the 4090s still being sold for $4k are what happens when there isn’t meaningful competition. It would be really nice for AMD to get it together soon.
Guessing the tariffs announcement, but IDK for sure.
Space Engineers 2 seems to run pretty well on low settings on my low-end Arch Linux system with a GTX 1080. There isn’t much to do in the pre-alpha release yet, but it’s a good sign for Proton and Linux gaming!
