I’m down a lot in GBTC and really need that number go up… 😅
Real custody is very important but many people (like me) have substantial fiat locked in tax advantaged retirement accounts, and we can’t just withdraw it before a certain age, but ETFs give them a liquid way to have exposure to BTC with that money.

You guys realize we already basically use CBDCs in our everyday life?
Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, etc… they all facilitate digital payments and act as quasi-banks on our phones. They will quickly and easily adopt to CBDC implementation.

People do tend to grow the longer they reside in this space… everyone’s onboarding is different.
From a high level, yes, we should avoid shitcoins and focus on stacking sats… that doesn’t mean bitcoin solves EVERYTHING.
I approached the Monero subject with a similar maxi attitude, but was open to discussion and quickly changed my tune as I learned the importance.
I personally like talking to people I disagree with… it can be a learning moment for one, or both of us…

People don’t often talk about or acknowledge monero as a legitimate privacy coin…
It’s also not something people generally ‘Hodl’ lots of.
But it’s there, when we need it, and can’t be shut off in the same way BTC can’t be stopped.
Again, one of the few alts I don’t consider a shitcoin, and that says a lot because I label everything from homes to women shitcoins.

I know miners in Texas that use monero, casually, as they exchange mining gear.
The same can be said about bitcoin. We aren’t at a mass adoption stage, for either. Some transactions will want to remain anonymous to avoid 3rd parties seeing them - not exactly possible w/out significant effort on the BTC network,
