1st of May is BELTANE, Celtic festival that celebrates Nature in full bloom. Did you know Hawthorn trees are linked to Beltane? Beltane means "white fire". Sacred to the Celts it also symbolizes love, a twig in bloom was added to May brides and wishes tied in ribbons to the branches.
