For years I used the free service. I had to put up with commercials. Last year I paid for the $4.99/mo service. No ads and you can skip unlimited and replay songs. It’s like a radio station service. I seeded about 500 songs. It then adds songs that are similar. Sometimes I hate what it suggests and I give a thumbs down. They won’t play that song again. But it has suggested hundreds of songs I like from artists I like and exposed me to artists I had not heard of. They have a higher $$ service that lets you stream anything as much as you want.

Pandora works great if you create a station based on an artist and seed the station with songs you like. If you further interact with thumbs up/down I find you can create an excellent station.
