Did you know the Gold Cup Standard Ratio of water to coffee when brewing is 18:1? For every 18g of water you should be using 1g of beans.
This would mean for a standard 12oz coffee mug, you would weigh out 18g of coffee. 324g of water will fill the mug with just enough room to not spill. (11.42oz of water).
Yes, I weigh all the coffee I brew, from a single mug to a large French press, so that I can objectively taste and try different beans, blends and roasts from my coffee roaster or when I try new roasters.

GM Nostr. What is good today.
I have been sleeping in an extra hour when I can while these cold temps are around. I am having to stay up a little later and also get up in the middle of the night to fill the stove. A few more weeks and should be in the clear. Firefox size is definitely a major consideration for the stove in the cabin we are building.
Had a couple great interviews yesterday for Direct or Detour Podcast and 2 more lined up for today that should also be interesting stories.
Last of this bag of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe this morning then on to some Costa Rican tomorrow I think.

Going to be extra coffee this morning. Getting up to fill our tiny woodstove to keep it going all night wears me down after a while. Excited to move past this years cold snaps and hopefully have a bigger woodstove next year. Just need the cabin first.
