Workshop Radio The Soundtrack To Getting Shit Done

Following up from last nights episode on Mesh Communications, Jake from Ravenwood Acres sent me a list of resources that if anyone is looking to get started will be a huge help.

@RavenwoodAcres just sent me a bunch of links of the resources he mentioned in tonight’s show. Here they are

Get started: https://meshtastic.org/

Learn more: https://meshtastic.discourse.group/

Node map: https://canvis.app/meshtastic-map

Using Mesh technology as an off-grid communications option is now a viable option, oh and did I mention its encrypted. Check out the latest episode of Workshop Radio with Guest Jake from Ravenwood Acres.

Finally tackled the bugs on the front of the truck yesterday. Goof off is the magic spray let sit half hour and pressure wash off. Nothing better in my opinion

Had clot cut some limbs from a pine to install the steps at the day care. Got to add to the free firewood pile again

Now that you ask I assumed I was going Tim go key turn but I can see the benefit of always on as well

Got a good start on the new back steps at the daycare today

First ever prime rib cooked at home. Butter salt and Pepper. Cook 5 min per pound at 500° then turn off heat let sit undisturbed 2 hrs. It was delicious. I think I’ll cut the sitting time by 15 mins or so next go round. Would like it a bit more rare

Spent yesterday putting together a bunch of upcoming reviews. This one is another #harborfreight goodie. A foldable 15 watt solar panel. I was rather surprised

Last evening we came together as The Workshop Community for our monthly Post-Apoc Book Club. We had a great time chatting about The Final Year, history, encryption and a ton of other incredible topics. Check it out in your feed today.

Picked this kit up off amazon. Going to add some more ISB and 12 volt outlets to the RAM.

Really enjoying Silo so far only two episodes in though Mrs Toolman and myself will have something to say about on Friday nights stream.

It is strange to see them it gets incrdibly cold in this entire province but the southern section of Alberta is still very desert like

The largest Albertan cactus I have seen before Hard to believe they grow up here

Had a rental without hot water turned out it was just a pilot light out.

Not a perfect repair by any means but it will extend the life of the stairs by a few years so that’s a win in my book

Had a great conversation with Lettie Loo of Backwoods consulting on the very tough subject of death and preparing for dying last night. Like always I learned a bunch
