🚨 The founder of SlowMist states that the 51% attack on Monero by the Qubic mining pool appears to have succeeded.

Qubic now controls the majority of the network's hashrate.

"Now, in theory, the Qubic mining pool can rewrite the blockchain, perform double-spending, and censor any transaction..."

However, Ledger's CTO notes that the attack could cost $75 million per day to sustain.

The community, however, remains highly skeptical about the reality of this 51% attack.

For them, Qubic would only account for about 33% of the hashrate.

The reaction is immediate, with XMR dropping by nearly 13%.
