Sam has a dual diagnosis where he no longer talks in sentences and there can be a long delay when he processes speech. His day is a lot like the movie Groundhog Day, he’s on a pretty rigid routine. So often the quickest way to get him going is just to point to what’s next.
Sam’s World! It hasn’t changed much in the last 25 years. He uses his Macintosh computer and watches the same videos over and over. He’s playing Aladdin on Super Nintendo and watching vintage Sesame Street on his iPad. And he does the same 10 puzzles over and over again. Not a fan of failure, he chooses the safety of things familiar instead.
