Sharing notes about bitcoin, nostr, dev, security and random dad stuff. NFA, DYOR

Trusted Third Parties are Security Holes - Nick Szabo

Satoshi created Sequence and Locktime on Bitcoin transactions so that we can make lots of payments compressed into a single on-chain transaction.

What happened to sendstr?

1) GitHub repo archived.

2) Site down

Wow 4 #Nostr Notes and already received 98 sats!

First time ever to receive anything back from a social network and without KYC 🤟🤯🤙

GM!

Thank you!!

I will continue to share what I learn in this journey.

This is how you can create a #nostr private key using the hardware wallet ColdCard:

1) Insert microSD to CC

2) CC > Advanced > Derived Entropy (BIP-85) > Hex 32 bytes > index (0 - 9999) > press 1 to save to microSD

There are two ways that I found a to easily convert the hex private key to npub:

1. Install nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 and login using the hex private key, then go to settings > keys if you would like to backup the npub.

2. Use the #damus Key Converter at damus.io/key/

I don’t recommend using this private key to store bitcoin because the private key is now considered hot because it has been put on devices connected to the internet.

Hopefully in the near future we can have air-gapped signed #nostr transactions so that we don’t have to take the private key out from our secure devices.

I created my Nostr npub using a ColdCard—quick and secure!

Ready to give #Nostr a try. 🚀
