nostr is a really nice alternative to Activity Pub. If relays could federate somehow it would be even better.

Ok. #[6] wrote some ideas about that yesterday. If they improve the classification of types and groups and things at the protocol level, it could evolve into many interesting social things at the same time.

Agreed, we may need a Signal like alternative with easy conferencing with perfect forward secrecy. I remember seeing one in development apart from emon.

But I think hole punching is an existing networking thing and many apps like TailScale and others use it. Would be nice to see keet's implementation on hole punching used in apps like you've mentioned.
