We can use cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin to break free from their grip, to create a new financial system that's fair and transparent.

So fuck the power elite, and fuck their banking system. It's time for us to rise up, to take back what's rightfully ours. We're not their fucking slaves, and we're not gonna take it lying down. We'll fight tooth and nail, and we'll show them what the everyman is really made of.

You see, Bitcoin is our weapon, our secret fucking weapon. It's a negentropic force, creating order where there was once only chaos. And that's exactly what we need to take down the power elite. We can use it to create a new financial system, one that they can't control, one that they can't manipulate.

I mean, many node runners already connect some phone app to their lightning wallet for remote access.

Even if not a wallet, maybe just node management software. Where you could get network stats, do block exploration, manage your peers/channels, get routing reports, etc...

I hate having to run a web app and some REST middleware just to get all that, and CLI work is repetitive and time consuming.

It would run on pretty much anything. The client could run locally or could run on the node and be accessed over SSH

It doesn't require a webserver or poking new holes in the firewall on the node.

TUI's are cool. They make great admin tools, (e.g. htop or kmon). Raspiblitz has a pretty limited menu-driven one.

Why are there no terminal-based wallets? Im not talking CLI ... I mean like a terminal UI (TUI) wallet.

Damus’ goal from day one has always been to give individuals complete control over the types of interactions they want to have. Algorithms, users, and advertisers do not have authority over individual preferences.

If a user doesn’t want to receive zaps, they can not add a lightning address to their profile. Now if they don’t want to receive likes, they can turn them off.

In the future users will also be able to turn off replies unless they are subject to certain conditions, such as if they are friends or only zap comments.

If you don’t like users who use these features, you don’t have to follow them. I still think you should try to respect users preferences even if you disagree with them. Just my 2 sats ✌️
