FYI, the second edition of Paul Marik's "Cancer Care" book is available (as of Oct 1st) on the FLCCC website. The first edition was informative and he brings a ton of references, so I'm looking forward to his latest research on repurposed drugs and metabolic interventions for treating #cancer. It's free to download and there's a donate button if you find value in his work.

BleepingComputer says it's been known since 2018 and Signal wasn't motivated to fix it until last summer.
New to Nostr, nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx brought me here, any tips for new users? #asknostr

IMO, the unrealized capital gains tax is how they'll slowly steal your coins. They're laying the groundwork for it as we speak.
Lots of people talk about boating accidents, but they'll watch your coins like a hawk for any movement. Destroying your keys certainly works but they'll probably still put you in jail for defying a court order.
I travel with my laptop, so it can be stolen rather easily. The thief can then read all of my private messages at their leisure. I expected better security from Signal. Sure, I can take additional steps to protect myself, but I didn't know I needed to with Signal.
It's inevitable. Literally papering over the cracks.
I was not aware of this #security hole in Signal Desktop. The database encryption key was stored in plaintext for years. It's partially fixed now. Links below.
I looked at their repo and it hasn't been fully patched yet. For now they're supporting a fallback option, which means the key may still be stored in plaintext. You can check by looking at the config file where the key is stored.
"In addition to migrating to encrypted/keystore-backed local database encryption keys on supported platforms, our implementation also includes some additional troubleshooting steps and a temporary fallback option that will allow users to recover their message database using their legacy database encryption key if something goes wrong. This should help minimize data loss if any edge cases or other keystore-related bugs are discovered during the migration process and production rollout. The temporary fallback and legacy key will both be removed after everything has been tested and deployed on a wide variety of devices across various operating systems and OS versions."

OK, but they're going to watch that address like a hawk. It'll be difficult to use until you move to another country.
Interesting. I imagine Bitcoin Core could get a similar demand, but there's no benevolent dictator like Linus to enforce it.
I thought Signal was fully open source, but maybe not according to Molly?
Also, I was not aware of this vulnerability in Signal desktop: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/signal-downplays-encryption-key-flaw-fixes-it-after-x-drama/
It looks like Molly adds a passphrase to protect databases in really old versions of Android that don't have a keystore, but otherwise I'm not sure it's necessary (and users might think it's a nuisance).
And what's the difference exactly?
Fluoride in public drinking water systems for example also had government plausible explanations. Thankfully they've also plausibly admitted that the conspiracy theorists that for years were crying out the water was dumbing down the population, were indeed telling the truth.

As you just pointed out, it's relatively easy to poison us through water and food. Why bother with expensive flights when the same thing can be achieved at a fraction of the cost?
Sometimes I think of nostr:nprofile1qqsp4lsvwn3aw7zwh2f6tcl6249xa6cpj2x3yuu6azaysvncdqywxmgprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvq9n8wumn8ghj7enfd36x2u3wdehhxarj9emkjmn99ah8qatzx9e8gmr3vdsnsu3kv96hjcthx4hr26pnds6ngv3jv3kngumj0y6kg7nxv4jngd3exen8zefcwvm8zem4v34hxdmydf6xvuelvfex7ctyvdshxapaw3e82egpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejs5mzk3a as the Jordan Peterson of the #bitcoin space. 😄
Some people believe it's theft because you're potentially undermining their ability to sell it. A big company can often produce your widget faster and distribute it better than you can (assuming you're a small company or an individual), thus it's not a fair competition to profit from the idea. Just providing the other side of the argument.
And they keep asking for money when most of that money goes toward activism.
Yes, it's a pattern we see in many places. 😔
I noticed the same thing. It would be interesting to see if there was an increase in civil disturbances during the 70s.
The #climate crowd is willing to do anything to achieve their singular goal. Amazingly, they think they can model the entire planet and all of its complex interactions.
"The research team then modeled the impact on the Earth of injections of seven candidates: calcite, diamond, aluminum, silicon carbide, anatase, rutile and sulfur dioxide."
"The model suggested that injecting 5 million tons of synthetic diamond dust into the atmosphere per year could cool the Earth by 1.6°C in 45 years. The downside, of course, would be the huge cost—approximately $200 trillion." 🤣
