Go out of your way to give people positive feedback.

When someone makes you laugh or learn, tell them.

It's easy to assume they know, but they really might not.

One of my problems with my real-world friends and semi-online friends is that I'm viewed as cold and distant. Kind of on the spectrum, one might say.

I incorrectly assume that since I like their stuff, they must know I like their stuff, which isn't always the case. Instead they're more like, "wtf is Lyn thinking?" In other words, I'm semi-retarded at personal interactions. I'd like more people to know how much I like what they do.

Online or offline, whenever it's comfortable, tell people they're doing good work. Say hi. Tell them thanks. Give gratitude.

Nostr does this better than Twitter, from my experience. Keep it up, lads and lasses.

So why am I here?

I guess I believe that decentralisation is important. Convenient decentralisation that becomes mainstream, is even better.

We need decentralisation in the following

1. Our money

2. Our identity (and proof of human)

3. Our data & preferences

In the digital sphere these I hope will be non-negotiable and I believe these to be fundamental to preserving our humanity.

Decentralised systems and protocols will, I believe, both free us and drive an era of innovation and growth that is robust and anti fragile.

I’m not saying utopia awaits, I’m too pragmatic, but as Jeff Both articulates in his awesome book - I see the grass roots of a better system with better outcomes.

So while I’ll remain firmly tied to the current system, I’m so glad to be stacking Bitcoin and building a presence in what I hope is a very important protocol that’s part of the move to a more decentralised future!
