It's so funny to peek into #Twitter once in a while. Now with the recent #assassination attempt, people tweet about it and self-censor words like "assassination", "killed", "shot", "shooter", etc, with asterisk characters. People seem to be afraid to be banned or have their tweet downranked by the algorithms.

This is why we #nostr.

Nostr serves as the credible backup plan for when governments seize or ban X.

This is why scaling in layers and pushing privacy up the stack is the correct strategy IMO. There are many improvements that can still be made at the protocol level e.g, wider Payjoin adoption, but most of the MoE privacy advancements should happen above layer 1. Being able to audit the supply trivially and with confidence is paramount to bitcoin’s long term success.
