I however have to disagree with the framing that Nostr is a back-up to X.
X is already controlled by governments. They are censoring anything that governments deem as illegal information. Musk has admitted to it multiple times.
This is not a dig at whether they are right or not to remove specific notes on their platform. They are a private company, are abiding by the legal framework set by the nation states. Nostr doesn't have to abide by any of these regulations, making it the best plan.
It is only a matter of time until X enables cross platform payments. When they do, their platform will need to abide by all the anti privacy laws governments have brought in place.
X, due to it's incredibly centralized nature, is a liability.
There's no second best to #Nostr
