New all-time high for Nvidia. I bought $NVDA in 2017 & 2018, sitting on a $3.96 average (years ago I sold shares I’d bought pre-2017). I’m now up 3,8881%. A 38x return. So far this is my best investment ever.

Welcome to San Jose. Hope your fight goes great. My son's track meet doesn't end until 5:30pm down in Gilroy. We'll see how things go, maybe we'll be able to make it back in time for the fights.
I want to! Still figuring things out…my oldest son has his track sectional finals that day, will find out soon the timing of that meet and his races. Ideally we can be at the full track meet, then I could bring my wife and 3 sons to the fight.
During Silicon Valley’s hey day, I was fortunate enough to be couch surfing, hostel hopping and eventually apartment renting in San Francisco.
I don’t like to toss the term “magical” around much but that’s what it felt like. If you were a startup founder on a bus you’d be asked by a stranger what you were working on and then they’d introduce you to a VP at LYFT, your ideal customer. That’s not an exaggeration that’s exactly what happened to me.
I’m writing this from Red Jack Saloon on Bay ST in North Beach remembering what it was like to live above this place during the best time to be in Silicon Valley. SV gets lots of flak and especially from me even because something fucked up a national asset.
But holy shit if there was a place that was a cheat code it was here.
I remember reading tweets of companies saying they didn’t need to be in SF and it feels like 1 out of 1,000 made it that posted shit like that (Props to Zapier in Iowa).
People just wanted to help you succeed. They worked non-stop, didn’t sleep and over-tipped their local spots. But really they genuinely bought into helping you on your dream. No bullshit. That’s why “magical” is warranted. It was this understood agreement that you helped everyone here as much as you could if they were here.
That feeling was gone in SF.
This week I got that feeling again from Bitcoiners. I popped into Presidio Bitcoin and went for a walk with nostr:npub18lzls4f6h46n43revlzvg6x06z8geww7uudhncfdttdtypduqnfsagugm3. I told him my favorite poster in my office at home was Paul Dirac and Richard Feynman discussing the Manhattan Project.
None of us are smart enough to be in that poster but all of us want to be working on our version of the Manhattan Project.
We walked to lunch and met nostr:npub1hk0tv47ztd8kekngsuwwycje68umccjzqjr7xgjfqkm8ffcs53dqvv20pf and talked about all of the most progressive things in Bitcoin.
For the first time in a while I felt overwhelming hope and magic again in SF.
And it’s because Bitcoiners are collectively working on the Manhattan Project of our time.
