Hanging out at an identity and authentication conference… interesting the full and hybrid decentralized identity approaches being looked at. Really weird how many products and vendors there are for something that’s marketed as getting better
An aside from a conference currently attending, caught up with an old friend and chatted faith, leadership, AI, and family.
Been a long time since that connect, gave me a bit to think about regarding where we all see ourselves, and where others might see us.

Lots of folks call calculation faster than they can “intelligence”
Others call remixing things they cannot “intelligence”
Is intelligence either or none of these? Or, by placing “intelligence” into measured buckets, are we limiting humane-intelligence?

Yea. Can’t tell. But the way they describe it, doesn’t seem so
The card though isn’t really storing in that product, is it? Seems like they are using the card as an authentication mechanism to go alongside (what I’m assuming is) username and device IDs to verify to what the app stores.
First thought I had with this was whether the app stores values or if it’s a “viewer” to that storage
Have had thoughts of seeing if it’s possible to provision one’s own flash memory (secure) chip + NFC as cold storage with a device as its reader. Kinda saw this as possible years back with NFC ring that someone did to clone their passport

Those best seller lists mutate into examined toys you see
Cause what’s left when time’s timed tension is less filling than a breeze
What’s left when the fourth estate’s best is undressed in front of these
Puff pieces opinions drafted into cheese
Sold for digital gold that was tarnished when it was breathed
Varnish on the ears for those who made these leaves
Cost more than analytics returned on investment schemes
More than worn lines that vine to broken dreams
Poetry is mere power to depths of our dreams
Expression for sadness padding happiness of life’s beams
Don’t stand for flat sands dabbing in jellyfish’s memes
Write for what’s right

Biked to local cafe w/neighbor this morning.
On the way back, we took the “regular” route. Auto traffic has two lanes, no shoulder for a 1/2mi portion. Was on that part we shook our heads.
🚗 folks w/room passing too closely.
