Appreciate the summary… and the links w/n it nostr:note1v7g6khe0a2rm77ztqeag7c2r59uwz69cxtc9p0hy984mpf96h2tslqrcc5
Almost not surprised. Almost.
Makes some sense from a few perspectives, doesn’t from a few others.
Ironically, such a move will either prove or disprove the viability of the nostr protocol… “good-UX/CX-lost” should cause folks to find another route. That there are other nostr clients helps; that many aren’t as polished as Damus might not.
This will be very interesting
Been one of them weeks… for a lot of reasons. What are y’all reading? Here’s what’s been thru my pages/screens this week https://www.avancee.agency/2023/06/09/avance-reads-for.html
Pixel-level work… I’m going to say probably. But only based on using assistive control on the Apple Watch… it’s really good. The positioning accuracy isn’t pixel great, but it’s not off either.
Controlling and for certain types of pixels… if Vision Pro gets an authoring suite in the coming WWDCs, that would be because this is answered
#[0], regarding your tweet (https://twitter.com/jack/status/1666076985242836993), being easy to use invites being easy(er) to censor. The two properties often work against one another…
…know anyone who is trying to prove otherwise? I’d like to be a part of that effort.
Because right now, being on the side of accessible/easy to use invites those who pay attention to where they need to censor (at least, for folks like myself who are attentive).
Even though it was the keynote to a developer’s conference, if you are in the development or regulatory space, you hopefully recognized the context of “protocols need tangible applications to be considered usable protocols” in why it led off the way it did.
#[0] did that for many with #nostr because it was a needed and attractive approach for what should have been done with social media’s timeline-like protocols. Many nostr implementations have to go beyond capability of the protocol. Let it’s capability be shown thru attention to detail, experience, and novelty that indeed elevates what someone should be able to do.
The point of good keynote ensures dev outputs have a tangible impact to certain outcomes. Keystone applications do so because they elevate usage to some outcome better than another. All nostr apps won’t do so, but if the protocol wants to be what it says it is, more apps using it need to step up the attention to user experience, documentation, and novelty.
Spatial interfaces are more or less here cause Apple made it so…
…I’d be happier if there were more tools like Muse around to actually bend space for more than consuming stuff. But, where things are is where things are… interfaces invisible for now. Whole computers invisible later

“Careful now… you know what happens when this mood lingers.”
Been talking this to myself for the better part of a week. A sizzling shape of yanking the present into folks’ pasts. Ain’t even called forth the future’s geometry… yet 😏

I went a lot of places and no where all at the same time
There’s a lot about #cycling that just settles me
A lot
Two wheels
Some gears
A few roads and paths
And no destination in mind
Just a journey
Cycling just settles me
Realized in an answer elsewhere just how much about mobile I still remember… had been around for a long p, long while. Then left that space, mostly.
Legit have forgotten just how many connections, inferences, hopes, and failures lived in my head, pen, and keyboard those days.
Came here earlier to post, forgot what I was going to post
Ended up writing a post
This one https://www.avancee.agency/2023/06/02/avance-reads-for.html
Remembered I was supposed to come back here
My bad
Posted
Lots of tweaks… font looks changed (smaller?) too. Icons and stuff… much to explore
Really happy to have gotten back into a regular cadence of blogging/writing… still need to work on that old-new discipline though. There’s much I need to better communicate for those who’d been asking/looking into the other side of what I’m doing these days https://www.avancee.agency/2023/05/29/coachings-downslope.html

Good advice IMO
Parent might see it as giving the (graduated young adult) permission to rely on the parents for getting out of consequences. Parent is also in the “this person’s development is proof of your parenting. If you don’t trust them handling consequences, you don’t or didn’t trust your parenting in moments.”
That’s a realization some parents may not realize they have, yet render to others.
Allowing the child to create and accept boundaries is a sign of “parenting gone well.” From that response, it’s bad advice simply because it reflects on the parenting, not the child (in their eyes).
A good home-cooked meal will have you in prep and cook mode for 90% of the time
…but that last 10% when you devour it really does make the effort count

Oh wow… what is that? Half of me says, “that is/used to be a holy place.”
Yea… I think I’m settled. Time to get the titanium Brompton. Folks thought the MX-5 was the mid-life purchase. It’s going to be this that makes that line come back again 😏
