#Nostr clients run much smoother with less relays. So if you want your notes to have good visibility with less relays, do the following:
1. Join the nostr.wine relay ran by nostr:npub18kzz4lkdtc5n729kvfunxuz287uvu9f64ywhjz43ra482t2y5sks0mx5sz and buy the subscription for access to the filter.nostr.wine service. That way, you will be able to send and receive notes to a dozen public relays without needing to include them in your relay list. This allows your client to broadcast to all these relays with just one relay.
2. Add the mutiny.nostrwallet.com blaster relay. This is a relay that only sends notes, but is special in that it takes your new note and "blasts" it to every known public relay (which is around a few hundred). That way, every note you send will be retrievable by anyone who is connected to a public relay.
3. Add the purplepag.es relay by nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft . This is a special relay that only retrieves #Nostr profile data. That way, your client will have a much easier time searching for a profile and loading following/follower lists.
4. Add 2 or 3 of the other popular paid relays. I personally added relay.orangepill.dev, atlas.nostr.land and relay.orange-crush.com.
Once this setup is complete, you will have a smooth client experience with quality content.
