Report back when you try it.
I recently picked up a Kindle "Complete Collection", and read a few of the stories out of it. I like it, but the writing is very different from modern genre fiction, so you might or might not like it. I'd say give it a try, but either do like I did and buy a cheap Collection, or check out from the library.
Good morning Nostr!
This morning I'm having my car serviced. I brought my laptop so I could get some work done, but managed to forget my power cable. So here I sit at a coffee shop twiddling my thumbs.
It's odd, because I used to travel all the time so I had my bag down, but after COVID I am not nearly as organized.
I need to work on that.
I go on call at work again later today, so my semi-coherent attempts to #grownostr and share about my life will go on hold for the next week, however, when I get back, I have ideas for an improved version of DMs that I want to write up and try out, a service to help support scaling media on Nostr to continue working on, and just generally jumping back into the conversation.
I the meantime, #proofofwalk (er, run) this morning.

Keep encouraging them! ENBrown's packed lunch tyranny thread from a couple of days ago really deserves to be here.
nostr:npub1zywedmndxjrcm9d0hljsk8uqaqf9d4mxya4c5gzdudrps5jkyshqe2s58k is there an easy way to find which of your Reason colleagues are on Nostr?
Good morning Nostr.
Today will consist of babysitting the "automated"* deployment of one of my projects at work, lunch with an out-of-town coworker, and hopefully some play on a pet nostr project when I get home.
* Admittedly, it was my mistake in the previous deployment that mandated the quotes around automated and the babysitting, so I'm getting what I deserve.

There is a "Categorized People List" type defined in NIP-51 that allows "secret" people on it, but it would depend on the client treating it as a follow list. And, it's completely possible that a client could not share it's follow list at all, just keep it local. Part of the wonder of Nostr. Who you listen for and what you share are completely unrelated.
Gotcha. One of the websites allows you to backup your follows, I think it's Iris.
You still show 22 follows, so they're probably still there, but not showing on your client rn. Give it time.
No, not that one. The one on the compose view. I think it let's you assign the recipient of zaps to a message to someone other than yourself. See the screenshot.

Good morning, I just spent a little while playing with the Merlin bird identification app. Here's what it found in about 7 minutes of listening from my deck this morning. #nature #sounds of soundsofnature, #birds, #grownostr
BitChute? Haven't looked at it in a while, but it seems like it could integrate with nostr pretty easily.
I mostly use iris.to, but that's got more to do with familiarity than anything else.i use snort pretty regularly. I like the look of NostrGram.co.
So what's this lightning thing on Amethyst's compose bar do?
I was never that good, but not for lack of trying. And I burn easily, so I generally wore a shirt.
I'm pretty sure those are all web clients, so os type doesn't matter. I've used all of them, plus a few more. It's easy to switch back and forth, so just see what you like.
