Actually I was listening to a podcast with Pablo where he explained why nostr is actually not great for content creators at the moment (because there is no algorithm to game)
And even if they aren't corrupted from within they can be captured from without (same goes for ethical companies)
For those who haven't been following, is this just allowing users to disable likes? If so I don't see the big deal; reactions are an optional NIP.
It does seem a bit awkward though now that many clients have already implemented likes, and now some users will be silently ignoring them.
These a-holes cant even get the DMV to run right but I’ll bet they will make this work. 🖕🏻

To prevent impersonation? Not sure if the current blue check system actually does this though.
