Appreciate @`nathan_day`for my purple pill, after much resistance and dismissive-ness, I believe NOSTR is still more underrated than Bitcoin. Both will change the world.
Will celebrate by continuing to build my NOSTR based business, launching later in 2024.

I made fun of America yesterday.
I always do it on SuperbOwl and Independence Day.
On Independence Day, it's because of how little there is to celebrate for modern Americans. Having a BBQ and getting shitfaced in a captured state economy is to my mind a huge self-own.
On SuprbOwl day, it's a little different. It's escapism, distraction, and a one for one comparison with the bread and circuses era of the collapsing roman empire. Screaming at a pointless event with silver washed antoninianus in your pocket is a fundamentally sad thing to observe.
They are the two anti-holidays of the year.
I love what America was. I don't love what it has become, what it has given away, and to celebrate it is in a way more sad than if it just faded away like the values it represented. It's like a heavyweight boxer who lost his way and now does car commercials for money, still wearing his gloves, saying to come down to Bob's Car Lot for "knockout prices". Sad, cringe, & depressing.
I reserve my disgust and honestly, hatred, for the more banal, baseless evil in places like modern europe, but they don't even pretend to care about freedom.

Anything related to digital identity. NOSTR isnt a social media app and everyone acts like the best we can hope for is more people coming from twitter to post cats.
NOSTR doesnt solve for limiting transfer of identity.
It's okay for bitcoin, because transfer is the whole point, but whats stopping someone from selling their nsec to someone else, or sharing its credentials?
This forces some use cases into asking for names, pics, and other KYCish info.

Bitcoin is no exception to Mises regression theory, that argues good money requires a base utility purpose, it requires a commodity use.
But Bitcoin IS a commodity.
Bitcoins are the only material that the Bitcoin network accepts to publish data on the timechain. It is first a substance that is used to log entries on that database, and secondarily, but more commonly used as money.
Mises dudes can't see that.

Horrified to learn i've had a lot of my follows, all my twitter imports were rugged and now ive dumped twitter, its back to manually adding people IF i happen to see them re quoted.
Not much in the way of 'suggested follows' in clients, and that will be stemming network growth.
Sad bit about the farmer protests is that of the local farmers around me - I know they could never use their equipment to protest because they borrowed so much money to buy it, if it isnt in use for a wekk they'd lose it.
Debt against farms and farming is truly to run a slave plantation at arms length.
