I’m not trying to be an asshole but I just saw a picture of a woman in a wheelchair that was born with some muscle disease that prevents her from walking. The condition looks similar to Stephen hawking. So she’s been disabled her entire life and she wrote in the caption that she never let the disability stop her from living life to the fullest. Yes it’s sad but I mean come on. You’re living your life to the fullest in a fucking wheel chair? You can’t swim, go on hikes, play sports, or play the most basic kids games like tag. Can’t drive or fucking grab the bag of chips off the top shelf.

Why do people insist on sharing their delusions with others? If everyone around you agrees with your delusion, it doesn’t become reality. And why do people support this delusion?

To go Nostr-only, do you need to delete all your old social profiles?

Or can you leave them dormant with “gone to Nostr” as a final post?

Sometimes one knows exactly what they want to do do, how to do it, & why

But then a hundered reasons crop up to getting in the way

How do you handle this? I am not entirely sure, given we’re creative beings

But really, truly, focusing, seems to be the way to go

When I was young man I had a mentor who I asked why some people totally fail at keeping their word or commitments. His response was:

“The hard truth is that most people are going to let you down in life. Most people can hardly commit to their own word to themselves, nonetheless anyone else. Don’t expect too much of other people, or you’ll spend most of your life angry and upset at people who were always incapable of keeping their word. Focus on those who you notice always try to keep their word and live with integrity—they might let you down too, but they’ll at least own it.”

I think about this a lot, and now that I’ve accumulated more life experiences, it’s a hard truth that I’m only fully coming to understand now.
