A citizenship by naturalization is only as good as the country’s due process and legal system.
Eventually, Europe's forthcoming electronic travel authorization system #ETIAS will start singling out Americans with criminal records.
Some of those people will then have to start submitting paperwork relating to their convictions to enter Europe.
It may take a year or two or 10, but eventually it'll happen.
