Realized just now that I have not been in Global for probably at least 6 months.
This weekend.....I'm going to check out the folks in #NostrGlobal

I get that. Those are kept where there are guns and dogs and those that are well trained in commanding them.
#Nostr fam, happy to report mom is home. The speech situation is a bit limited. But, we have physical and speech therapists, and nurse scheduled for the home starting tomorrow.
So all good in the hood for the night. Maybe We'll all get some sleep tonight. #GratefulSon
Going through all of my mom's Internet passwords and updating them. SMH
If you have aging parents, do them (and you) the favor and quizz them on a good process for pw construction. Assuming a 3rd party authenticator or PW manager might be too complex for them. If it's not too complex in your case, teach them how to use a pe manager or 3rd party auth app.

ππ€£π€£ send some of that my way. Please!
If you are a nurse....THANK YOU!
you're all an amazing bunch of human beings. I hope someone tells you this not only just at home but every day at work too.
The ones at our hospital here are all top notch ππΎ.

Someone just walked up to me and pointed to another dog and whispered...."that dog over there is a racist". I think he was serious. ππ€£ππ
I kept it moving. The beauty of headphones. You can instantly fake a phone call and with minimal sign language tell a person to go away without having to use your voice.

The first and last time I personally witnessed an ultrasound, I was waiting for mini me to check into the world for the first time.
And today I experienced it for a second time as my mom prepares to check out of this world.
I'm about as prepared as I can be for that eventuality. What I'm not ready for is everyone else.
She just had another stroke so they are moving her from ER to ICU to more closely monitor the blockages.
Every stroke episode = more brain damage.

The most important women in my life.
Faces have been obscured to protect the innocent.
And mom, about 8 years ago.
My mom had a stroke last night. She's in ER. There is some brain damage. Don't know the extent of it yet.
I am posting this here, bc I havent shared the news with anyone yet. My sisters and I feel best to manage the situation amongst ourselves for now before looping in the whole family.
So this is my outlet.
Thanks for endukging and lending me your ears #Nostr fam.
Good morning #Nostr fam.
Sometimes it's best to keep your thoughts to yourself. I need to do better at recognizing those situations.
If it's not helpful to anyone other than your ego, it probably doesn't need to said.

Joy: surprise visitors for mom from some folks she hasn't seen in 2 + decades.
It's really cute to witness. They're like high school girls.

If you are dealing with aging parents that have dimentia or Alzheimer's, that speak multiple languages, converse with them in there first language and you'll find much more meaning while engaging with them. Their first language is a lot less confusing to them.

"Yes, your choice of passwords says a lot about you. Thats why we use password generators."
I just watched a 17 yo explain that to her 45 yo dad. And I could tell by the expression on his face, he did not know this. πππ€£
My 2 sisters and I can witness a specific situation together, at the same time.
We would reconvene and debrief after the situation has concluded. And the three of us would observe and make note of entirely different things. Just about a 100% of the time all our reads were correct. But we were all blind to two other truths.
This is why it's important to chop it up with those 2 OFTEN!
